About sedan vs minivan
Which is cheaper per person: sedan or minivan?+
At full occupancy the Van (formerly Taxibus) is cheaper per person: €55 ÷ 8 = €6.88 each, against the Comfort (formerly Sedan) at €45 ÷ 4 = €11.25 each (Amsterdam from-prices). For groups of 5-8 the Van is therefore both roomier and cheaper per person.
Will my luggage fit in a sedan?+
A Comfort sedan (Volkswagen Passat or similar) comfortably holds 3 large suitcases + carry-ons for 4 people. Got 2 large cases each (a family of 4 on holiday)? Then choose a minivan. Ski bags, golf bags or musical instruments won't fit in a sedan — always pick the minivan for those.
Can a family with a child seat book a sedan?+
Yes. A child seat or booster fits in a sedan and is free with Schipholride. Give the child's age and weight at booking. With several child seats at once we recommend the minivan for extra legroom.
What if there are 5 of us but little luggage?+
With 5 people you need a minivan anyway — a sedan seats a maximum of 4. The V-Class is then automatically the right choice, even with little luggage. The extra space for bags is simply left empty.
Can I choose which one I want during booking?+
Yes. When you enter your trip (address and time) you see both options (plus the VIP S-Class) side by side with the fixed price for your specific route. You only choose the vehicle in step 2 of the booking.
