Every Schipholride driver holds a taxi licence, a recent certificate of good conduct, professional dress and at least 2 years of proven experience. Our standards in detail below.

Recent Dutch Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). No criminal record.

No serious traffic offences in the last 5 years. Unrestricted CBR driving licence. Defensive-driving training completed.

Fluent Dutch + conversational English minimum. On request: drivers speaking German, French or Spanish.

Professional dress
Suit and tie or polo with blazer. No casual jeans. For VIP rides: strictly business dress.

No conversation initiated unless you start one. No personal GPS tracking. No data shared with third parties.
Onboarding
Five steps before anyone drives for us

Application + intake
CV and motivation. Phone call plus an in-person interview. Assessed on appearance, language and attitude.

Document checks
VOG, taxi licence, driving licence, identity verification, insurance — all verified at onboarding.

Test drive
One day shadowing a senior driver. Evaluated on driving technique, guest interaction, GPS handling and unscripted situations.

Hospitality training
Luggage assistance, door etiquette, communication. Introduction to our dispatch system and SMS flow.

Trial period
First 10 rides with customer-feedback monitoring. 4.7+ average stars: cleared. Below: extra training or off-boarding.

What the drivers drive
Four vehicle classes. The affiliated carrier is responsible for maintaining the vehicle to factory intervals and for its technical condition.
Comfort
Volkswagen Passat or similar
Quiet ride, generous trunk, climate control. For solo, couple or small family.
Premium
Mercedes E-Class or similar
Business-class sedan with extra comfort and space.
Van
Mercedes V-Class or similar
5–8 seats plus a separate spacious tailgate for 8 suitcases. Zoned climate control.
VIP
Mercedes S-Class or similar
Massage seats, sound insulation, long wheelbase for maximum legroom.
FAQ
About the driver network
How many drivers work at Schipholride?+
Seasonally variable — a core team of around 12 drivers plus a flex pool of 8–10 for peaks. All self-employed, licensed drivers with a long-term partnership.
Will I get the same driver every time?+
For monthly recurring bookings (business) you can request a preferred driver — often possible when the pickup is fixed. For one-off bookings drivers vary; we match by route, vehicle type and availability.
What if I'm not happy with my driver?+
Call 085 060 2543 during the ride, or report afterwards at info@schipholride.nl. We take complaints seriously — with a valid complaint: partial or full refund, plus training or termination if warranted.
Do you have female drivers?+
Yes — around 15% of the affiliated drivers. Mention a preference at booking; usually doable with advance notice.
